Overall a good value and very private, a little drive from Fredericksburg and restaurants and there really isn't much of a kitchen to cook in, we would also suggest a shade on the porch for the afternoon sun , we couldn't use the porch until it set and it would help keep it cooler in unit 2. We would stay here again when we come to house hunting again.

Roxann, house hunting in the Hill Country is a fine reason to come out, and I'm glad the quiet and privacy held up for you. You're right about the porch, that western afternoon sun runs you off it until sundown. A retractable awning is going up over the porch, which should take some heat off the inside too. We're also putting in a larger table with proper chairs and building the kitchen out with real cookware and more counter space so it actually works for a week's stay. The AC is being serviced for that noise. Come back when the awning is finished, that porch is worth sitting on with the hills right there in front of you. Our stay was beautiful, very secluded but pretty close to Main Street, Fredericksburg, about 15-20 mins away from everything. Jay was very responsive and super helpful. Very clean and easy to get in home, that we would highly recommend!

Adrian, that last-minute trip coming together the way it did, with your family all under one roof in the Hill Country, is exactly what this place is built for. Knowing the house felt clean, easy to settle into, and secluded enough to breathe while still being a short drive into Fredericksburg means everything to us. Come back when the wildflowers are out in the spring. That drive into town hits differently when the roadsides are in full bloom!
