Debra, those deer wandering through the yard are the best part of that lot, and the chickens have made themselves right at home. Glad the house matched what you saw in the photos, that matters to us, and that the walk into town was as easy as it looked. Next trip, take your coffee out to the porch around sunrise. That is when the deer come through in numbers and the yard is all yours. We would be glad to have you back anytime. Rebecca, those chickens have a whole schedule of their own, and the deer usually show up right around dusk, so it sounds like you timed your three nights just right. Glad the cabin was the right size for what you came for. Next time you are out this way, bring coffee out early and sit a while before the place wakes up, that is when the deer come closest and you will usually have the whole view to yourself. The property was a cute little tiny home. It was absolutely Adorable! And the price was great. It wasn’t far from Main Street. And it was very peaceful. We sat on the front porch in the morning and watched the deer and the chickens. We would stay here again for sure when coming back! The bed & pillows were great. The AC was a split Unit and it was nice and blew cold. The first day the Host saw us outside and began walking over and thought we were having trouble getting in, but we were just enjoying the scenery. The Nest was great. The old style farm house was nice and quiet. The door didn’t open all the way because the floor had warped, but it’s all part of the charm. Normally when we stay at AirBnB homes, you can tell by certain details that it’s “just” a rental. This felt like a home. One detail we normally just deal with is the bed quality. We just brace ourselves for a sore back in the morning. This place had the bed mattress and bedding of all the places we have stayed. We would come back just to sleep on that bed. Perfect for a nice couple getaway! Only 8 mins away from Main St. Would stay here again! If you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful place to stay in a trip to Fredericksburg, TX, this is the place to stay. Clean, quiet, everything you need to feel right at home. Hosts are great and very welcoming, great communication, and easy to talk to. Close to town, yet far enough away that you can enjoy the country side and the beautiful views. Cabin set up was great, vintage and very well put together. My husband and I spent our anniversary here and we absolutely loved every moment of it. My stay was absolutely lovely, despite the bad weather. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the peaceful surroundings.
