Inside, The Roost features a warm and inviting layout with a king-size bed, a twin daybed nestled in a cozy corner nook, and a charming upstairs loft with two twin beds—comfortably sleeping up to five guests.

The well-equipped kitchenette includes a mini fridge, microwave, sink, toaster, and Keurig, along with a countertop and bar stools for casual dining.

The bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower and a generous vanity countertop with plenty of room to spread out and get ready in comfort.

The screened-in porch with a table and chairs offers a peaceful spot to sip coffee, enjoy a meal, or simply take in the fresh country air.

Guests can also enjoy the shared outdoor gazebo area, complete with a table and chairs, a fire table for evening relaxation, and a cornhole game for a little friendly competition.

Booked the roost for our 7th anniversary trip and we loved it! This year we brought along our daughter and she enjoyed it as well. She loved seeing the chickens walking around and the deer we would see in the evenings. We would book again for sure.

The Roost was a perfect place to relax and unwind. We absolutely loved sitting on the porch watching the deer and chickens every morning and evening. The bed was very comfortable and the house was decorated perfectly. We I’ll definitely return in the future and will recommend to others.

The Roost was perfect! So peaceful, relaxing and beautiful! We loved the cabin! Everything was perfect! Loved the fire pit! The cabin was comfortable and clean, the temperature stayed perfect, the shower had great pressure, lots of towels! At night there were motion lights to light up the path. This host has thought of everything!

This place was the perfect stay for my two kids, my wife and myself. It is a tiny home, but the layout made it feel very spacious. We loved the location. It was out in the countryside a short drive to Main Street. We watched the deer every morning while we sat on the porch with coffee. We come to Fredericksburg every year, and we will definitely be looking for this place again.

This trip was a weekend girls trip with my 40 year Best friend. The place was absolutely Beautiful. Loved seeing the Deer in the morning with our coffee and again in the evening with dinner. The tree frogs serenaded us in the evening as well. It was very clean and cozy. Definately check into staying here again next time we come back.

Clean, well appointed, comfortable accommodations. From being very easy to find to the relaxing, gorgeous surroundings, this is a place we would return to often. Perfectly situated just outside the hustle and bustle of Fredericksburg, after a busy day it’s a beautiful, peaceful place to unwind.

We loved our stay at The Roost! Loved the chickens and the calming quiet, but still 10 or so minutes to town. We were able to enjoy a spring storm from the rocking chairs on the covered front porch. The beds were so comfortable! We had plenty of space with our two teens and appreciated the loft space and the screened in back porch. Can’t wait to come back!

The cabin was super cute on a beautiful property and perfect for my 3 kids and myself. It was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. It is a convenient location to downtown Fredericksburg. I would stay here again. (Just make sure you plan for a small fridge and no stove.)

Kristen, a solo trip with three kids takes real planning, and it sounds like the cabin delivered exactly what you needed. Clean, cozy, and close enough to Fredericksburg to make the most of your days there, that is the whole idea. Your note about the fridge and cooktop is genuinely useful for families reading this, so thank you for leaving it. When you come back, the Fredericksburg wine trail is right there and a whole lot easier to enjoy once the kids are asleep!

I decided to book a last-minute, personal mini-retreat for the Christmas holiday. The booking process was super simple and the directions and access instructions were easy to follow. When I arrived, I was happy to find that the cabin was just as spacious and private as the photos made it seem. The cabin was clean and tidy and I was easily able to connect to a strong wi-fi--especially important for me because I still had to get some work done during the day. While I spent most of my time enjoying the peace and quiet, I did make it in to town (which was an easy 10-minute drive) a couple of times for dinner and to wander around Main Street. Thankfully, I didn't encounter any issues with my stay, but I did run into the host on the way out one afternoon and he was warm and friendly. Overall, it was exactly the three-day, holiday-stress-free getaway that I needed.

Bobby, a solo Christmas retreat with work calls still on the calendar is a real balancing act, and I'm glad the cabin held up its end, quiet and private when you needed to decompress, and solid wi-fi when the laptop had to come out. Main Street is a great little anchor for an evening, and most guests who make that short drive once end up going back two or three times. Come spring when the wildflowers are out along the Hill Country roads, the cabin feels like a completely different experience. Hope to have you back.
