We loved the house, it was a great little getaway. Comfortable beds, furniture that felt solid as opposed to a lot of places that seem to find the cheapest stuff they can to furnish the rental. We had a couple of small issues that were resolved very quickly and professionally. I did have two small complaints, but not worth removing any stars for. 1.) The hot tub is in a weird spot. It's sitting on the back of the house directly overlooked by the neighbors front and back balcony. It wasn't really a problem, just an odd choice. 2.) The location of the thermostat (and temp sensor in the house) created a situation where the front hallway was cool, so the AC would shut off, but the rest of the house was significantly warmer, but the AC wouldn't kick on because it was cool near the sensor. This is really a me problem as I like it cold in the house, but it's worth noting if you're like me. Opening the doors in the cool evenings solved this for the most part. The Hill Country backdrop does a lot of the heavy lifting, but we put real care into making the house itself feel worth every dollar. Tressa, six people, room to breathe, and a front-row seat to Hill Country wildlife. Those deer and turkeys show up most mornings right around sunrise, so if you ever bring the group back, grab your coffee and find a spot on the porch early. They put on a good show. We stayed here for a long weekend with our friends and it was the perfect place for us. We loved sitting around the firepit as well as using the various gathering places inside the house when it was cold and rainy. Beautiful home in a beautiful setting. We celebrated Fredricksburg's Oktober festival and enjoyed the multiple restaraunts in town. We also ventured to Luckenbach and then to Salt Lick BBQ! We returned to the beautiful "Casa Bonita" where deer would be feeding on acorns in the yard. From the beautiful patio and fire ring we enjoyed watching many deer conpete with the wild turkeys for corn from the deer feeder in the valley. Beautiful sunsets and night sky!
