Great house with a great pool. Super clean house, close enough to walk to Main Street, but still secluded for an afternoon staying at the house in the fabulous backyard. Fully stocked kitchen with any supplies you might need, though the icemaker didn't work so we had to go buy bags of ice.Anonymous - Posted: 8/26/2026
Krystin, an afternoon in that backyard by the pool is exactly what the house was built for, so I'm glad you got one. The icemaker letting you down and sending you out for bags is on us. It's been pulled and replaced rather than patched again, and the kitchen check now includes running it before every arrival. Next time you're in town, walk the few blocks into the shops and restaurants in the evening, then come back and swim after dark. The pool lights make it worth staying up for. We stayed here for 5 days with our kids and our grandkids and had a wonderful time! The space was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. It was centrally located so we were close to Main street and grocery shops. We would definitely stay here again. I picked this place for a reunion of friends. There were seven of us and one of the things that I liked was a kitchen table with five chairs, and then a counter in the kitchen with two stools, so there would be placed for all seven of us to sit. When I arrived, our host had actually placed seven chair chairs at the table. It was such an amazingly thoughtful gesture. One of our number made his famous lasagna and we were all able to sit down together. The property itself was fabulous. The hot tub was hot and the pool a little on the cold side since it was May, but some of my friends still went in. The backyard was a wonderful place to sit in the morning and drink, coffee and chat. This was the PERFECT Mother’s Day getaway. From the pool and hot tub to the spacious layout, every little detail made this stay feel so relaxing and special. Anonymous, six cousins under one roof in the Hill Country is no small thing, and the fact that the house held everyone comfortably says a lot. We put real thought into stocking these homes so nobody has to make a run to town on the first night, and it sounds like that paid off. This home was perfect for our group of 3 couples. Each room had a comfortable king bed and a bathroom close to each room. We had a bit of an issue with check in as the email sent to my email (not through the VRBO app) went to spam, but they responded quickly. The home was clean and had many extras-towels, games, and a fantastic backyard. The kitchen was a bit sparse but fine for our needs. We did have an issue with the exhaust fan over the oven. The smoke alarm went off because the fan seemed to not be working properly, but it’ll be a funny story to remember our trip. The exhaust fan over the oven has been repaired, and the check-in email now goes through VRBO directly so the spam folder stays out of it. Very comfortable stay. Although we didn’t cook this go round, we noticed the kitchen had updated appliances and was well stocked with any dishes, utensils, small appliances you would need. This house exceeded my expectations. Very clean and comfortable. The hot tub and backyard provided a great space to hangout. I would recommend bringing a Bluetooth speaker if you like music outside. We planned a girls weekend in Fredericksburg and had an absolute perfect stay here! I have planned several trips to Fredericksburg and stayed several places but this house was my favorite! We had plenty of space and it was very nice that each room had a king size bed! The location was also great. We were able to walk to main to get coffee in the morning. This is a beautiful home. It was 6 ladies and we all had enough space to get dress, cook, relax and enjoy each others company without feeling overcrowded. Excellent location for a weekend getaway to the Hill Country of TX. Though COVID-19 shut down some of our activities, this place did not disappoint. Comfortable beds, extra towels for the hot tub, wood for the outdoor fire pit, 2 A/C units for the back and front of the home, plenty of room to unwind and relax from the day of wine tasting and walking the town.
