In the living area, a crisp white slip-covered sofa and plush armchairs sit on top of gorgeous hardwood floors. Pops of teal and turquoise provide bright spots of color, while the large front window lets the natural light in. The HDTV is hidden within the painted armoire, making a quiet spot to read or visit with friends. The vintage coffee table is the ideal place to serve coffee or cocktails.

Through a wide open archway lies the spacious, light-filled, eat-in kitchen. Bright white cabinets, white subway tiles, and a gleaming white farmhouse sink all contribute to the pristine feel of this efficient space. A full suite of stainless steel appliances includes a refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, and microwave. An antique sideboard adds additional storage options as well as a lovely, rustic appeal— and it holds the high-end Cuisinart coffee maker. The circular dining table has room for four.

Down a short hallway, two bedrooms each provide a private, peaceful place to recharge at the end of the day. The first bedroom features two twin beds set into painted wood headboards and flanking a mirror-topped dresser. The second bedroom has a luxurious king-size bed that’s enveloped in hotel-quality linens. A full bathroom with a tub/shower combo and porcelain-topped vanity is accessible from the hallway.

With just under 800 square feet, this charming Fredericksburg ranch house makes the perfect home-away-from-home for a small family or a couple. Located just a few short blocks from Main Street, you’ll love having the flexibility of being able to walk to dinner— or maybe a happy hour cocktail or afternoon ice cream cone. We had such a wonderful stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend in Fredericksburg. The property was perfect for our needs! I loved the decor and it was very well equipped with all we needed. I would definitely would rent again, with my entire family of 4. This time it was just my son and I having a mother/son weekend to visit the Pacific War Museum, eat some yummy food, and go to Luckenbach. The location of the home was great, literally half a mile from main street and the Pacific War museum and Otto's German Restaurant.

The cottage is very cute, it's well equipped and very nicely furnished. The four of us were quite comfortable, one bathroom did present a couple of challenges for 4 adults. The only negative is the house sits 20 feet from a VERY busy 4 lane road and it seems that it's the law in Texas that every pick-up truck has LOUD pipes on the exhaust.
