The full kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking at home, featuring a side-by-side stainless steel refrigerator with ice maker in the door, an electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, and toaster.

The king bedroom provides a restful escape, with a wall-mounted TV, ambient faux fireplace, and two sitting chairs that create a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

Outside, you’ll find a private backyard designed for unwinding. Enjoy two Adirondack chairs under a shaded canopy, soak up the sun on loungers, or dine al fresco at the small table. Fire up the BBQ grill for a cookout, then slip into the hot tub while taking in the sweeping Hill Country views.

Please note: This property sits right along Highway 87, and some traffic noise may be heard during your stay.

Very unique (remodeled gas station) and charming vrbo home. We loved it! Perfect for a couple. Very private. Only issue we had was the front door would not lock when we exited. We had to call vrbo customer service to have them lock it remotely. Not going to lie, this was annoying but hopefully this has been fixed.

We had such a relaxing stay at this property! The highlight of the trip was definitely the hot tub; soaking under the stars at night was absolutely magical. It was the perfect atmosphere to unwind and recharge. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, I can’t recommend this place enough.

We had a great stay! Wasn’t too far from town and it was nice being able to get away from the crowd. We loved the hottub and used it every night. Everything was super clean and welcoming. Host were great at responding when we had questions or needed something.

Gavin, the hot tub every single night is exactly how that thing is meant to be used. That balance of being close enough to town to grab a meal and far enough out to actually breathe is one of the things we love most about the property, and it sounds like you found that sweet spot. Glad the house felt clean and ready from the moment you walked in. Come back when the wildflowers are up in spring and you'll want to soak in that tub even longer!

Had everything needed to enjoy a get-a-way and this lovely place checks the boxes! Expect some road noise as it is off a main road but it is not a deterrent. Perfect distance between fredricksburg and Kerrville! Do yourself a favor and visit the James Avery Headquarters in Kerrville as well as their downtown area because it was a very nice surprise and mix of boutiques and antique store! Of course, the shopping and winery tours is a must while in Fredericksburg and surrounding area!

Ginger, the James Avery Headquarters tip alone is worth its weight in gold and we love that you made that discovery part of your trip. That stretch between Fredericksburg and Kerrville really does put you in the middle of everything worth doing out here. The WiFi and local channel access fell short of where they need to be, and we have added a laminated instruction card at the house with step by step setup for both so the next guest is not left guessing. Come back when the bluebonnets are out this spring and you will have an entirely different reason to stop at every turn!

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a unique stay that’s not far from Fredericksburg or Comfort. We said multiple times after the trip that we were so lucky to find this gem. The bedroom is tucked back from the road so there was very minimal noise. Our mornings were spent on the back patio enjoying coffee and taking in the beautiful scenery. There was a massive storm one night and we were so grateful the overhang protected my car. 10/10! Will come back again!

Jessica, those quiet mornings on the back patio with coffee and Hill Country views stretching out in front of you, that is exactly what this place is for. Glad the overhang kept your car dry through that storm too, that was a big one. Fredericksburg and Comfort are both just a short drive when you want them, but honestly the property has a way of making you want to stay put. Next time you're out here, ask about the sunset from that patio on a clear evening. It's worth planning your whole day around. Come back soon!

Really enjoyed our stay at this location! It was very clean, and close to town. I would stay again for sure. It’s a cool place being an old, renovated gas station. It is close to the road, but road noise wasn’t a problem. Disclaimer: when we arrived I had trouble getting in, but that’s because the lock was on a time. Check in is at 4:00. We arrived at 3:50, so you really can’t get in until after the check in time. I just called the number provided and they got me in promptly. 10/10 recommend :)

Katie, the old gas station's character is one of our favorite things about that house, and it means a lot to hear it landed for you. On the early arrival, you handled it exactly right: the 4 p.m. lock is automatic and the support line is always live for situations like that. Glad we got you inside quickly. Next time you visit, Frederick Road is only a few minutes away and there is always something new going on in town worth exploring. Hope we see you back out here soon!

Nicci, that backyard view with a cup of coffee is genuinely one of our favorite things about the house too. Fredericksburg is close enough to pop in for wine tasting and live music, but the property gives you a quiet place to land when you are ready to slow down. Next time you visit, the fall wildflowers along the back fence are worth timing your trip around. Hope to have you back out here soon!
