There wasn’t ice trays and the ice maker didn’t work. Very minor inconvenience. The place was so quiet. Hot tub was wonderful. Everything was great. Bed slept great. Hopefully will get the chance to do it againChristinia R. - Posted: 10/18/2026
Christinia, no ice and no trays is a fair thing to flag, and it is on us. The ice maker is being serviced this week, and two filled trays are now part of the standard kitchen stock so that gap does not happen again. Really glad the rest of it landed the way we hoped, the quiet out there is the whole point, and a hot tub soak after a good night's sleep is hard to beat. Next time, come in the cooler months when the hot tub earns its keep and the stars over the deck are sharper than ever. Enoch, that hot tub gets a lot of love, especially once the hill country evening cools off and the stars come out over the deck. Glad the whole trip landed the way it did. Next time you're out this way, take an hour in the morning for the walking trails around the resort before the heat sets in, the views down toward the creek are worth the early start. Bring the coffee with you. We'd be happy to have you back at the house whenever the hill country calls again. Carolyn, one night to squeeze in Fredericksburg, Enchanted Rock, and a sky full of stars is an ambitious plan, and I am glad the cabin held up its end of it. Clean and comfortable is what we aim for, so hearing it from you means something. If you come back with a little more time, drive out to the Old Tunnel at dusk and watch the bats pour out, then head back here for the stargazing. Such a great stay! We definitely will be returning. The hosts were very kind, accommodating and helpful, the home was well kept and clean. It has beautiful views from the porch. The house stayed very cool, even in the heat of the summer. Definitely recommend for your next stay! If you’re traveling with a pack and play or kids, keep in mind that the rooms are smaller and there is no ceiling between the rooms so noise travels easily in the home. We had to be a little flexible because of that but overall, it was such a great stay. Would definitely recommend staying here for your next trip. Cabin is located a little north of Fredericksburg, which is a really nice area, the surrounding area is beautiful with lots of wildlife and animals to see each time you come in and out. It's also secluded and gives a lot of privacy to enjoy your time. The cabin itself is nice, just be prepared if you come in the summer for it to be warm inside when you get there. There is a mini split AC to cool the whole cabin, so bring a fan to help circulation if you run hot. The only real complaint was the flat pillows on the beds, so we brought our own.All in all it's a great little cabin to stay in while you see the sights all around the hill country and would definitely consider staying again.Terrence B. - Posted: 6/26/2026

The location and layout was perfect. It was close enough to town to make a run back for dinner and groceries but far enough to give a scenic view with lots of animals along the way.
