I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. It is only a block away from Main Street, so if you’re in the mood for walking, Main Street and all it has to offer is right there. Ubers are easy to get as well, offering you an easy alternative to walking. The stay was peaceful, the home was beautiful, and the hot tub is in an awesome spot. Mason, two stays in and still calling it one of your favorites, that means a lot coming from someone who knows the house well by now. That quiet is real, the Hill Country has a way of making the rest of the world go somewhere else for a while. Glad the bed delivered both times, good sleep out here is half the trip. What a great stay!! We were walking distance to downtown (12 minutes) and walking distance to wine shuttle (20ish minutes.) House was perfect for us! Girl trip with two people. Made coffee all mornings. Ned was comfy. Couch slept great too (I was so tired one night I slept on the couch!) We didn’t have time to use patio or hot tub but I’m sure they’re great! Great, quiet neighborhood. I’d stay here again with no hesitation!

Ashley, a girl trip with coffee every morning and one of those nights where the couch just wins, that is a good Hill Country weekend. Glad the bed held up and the couch had your back when you needed it. Twelve minutes to downtown on foot is one of the best things about that location, and you still have the patio and hot tub waiting for you next time around. Come back in spring when the wildflowers are out and give that hot tub a proper try!

Perfect place for a romantic getaway for two. The hot tub was hot and secluded. The bed was comfy, although the pillows need to be refreshed soon, but nothing that prevented me from having great sleep. The kitchen has basics, so more suited to snacks and not eating a full meal. Coffee maker is a keurig, not drip. The location is super close to everything but still quiet. I would stay here again.

Mark, getting that drip coffee maker to you the same day you asked is exactly the kind of thing we want to get right, and it sounds like the rest of the stay followed suit. Comfortable beds, easy check-in, and the flexibility to add a night without any friction. Anonymous, cooking real meals in a vacation rental is only possible when the kitchen is actually stocked right, and it sounds like the house delivered on that. Easy check-in, clean space, walkable to the shops you had your eye on, that is exactly the trip we want people to have here. Everything was wonderful. Excellent space, comfortable bed and beautifully decorated! We had a great time. Our only suggestion is to use a pen or marker to mark the “lock” button on the keypad. We had no idea how to lock up and it took several calls to the property manager, whose VM is full, until someone finally came and just pushed the lock button-boy we felt silly! Perhaps include in the instructions or mark the lock button. We would definitely stay here again. On a side note, quite literally; the adjacent suite guests had parked in the driveway instead of the street. They were quite intoxicated and said they weren’t told anything about parking. That’s on them, so nothing against the host! 😊

On the keypad, you are right and we have already added the lock button to the arrival instructions and marked it directly on the unit so nobody else spends a minute wondering. Adam, a hot tub and a wood-burning fireplace in the same Hill Country getaway is a hard combination to beat, and we are glad those two things delivered for you. Knowing the house was stocked and ready when you walked in matters to us. That walk to Main Street is one of the quiet advantages of this property, and the shops and restaurants get even better in the spring when the wildflowers are out. Come back and see us then.

We truly enjoyed our stay! We felt isolated from the hectic pace of our lives for a few days. Walking distance to Hondo's and the German Bakery made it so convenient. We were looking for a can opener one night as we ate breakfast and dinner in the house, but we couldn't find one. The bed was very comfortable! Slept like we were at home!

Herb, sleeping like you were home is just about the best thing a guest can say about a bed. A can opener is already in the kitchen kit, so that gap is closed for the next family who cooks breakfast and dinner in the house. The walk to Hondo's and the German Bakery is one of the quiet pleasures of that spot, and it sounds like you made great use of it. Come back when you want another few days of that Hill Country stillness!

Thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Close to everything, yet private and quiet. Fantastic location. Great decor and loved the fireplace and hot tub. We will be back again for another weekend getaway!!

Kirby, a fireplace and a hot tub on a Hill Country weekend is just about the right combination, and it sounds like you found your rhythm out there. That spot has a way of feeling tucked away while keeping Fredericksburg and everything around it within easy reach, so we are glad that balance landed the way it did. Next visit, if you come in the fall, the evenings cool off just enough to make the hot tub even better. We will have the fire ready!

My wife and I had a great weekend getaway. The house is comfortable and quiet with a great “park like” view from the back windows. Easy walking distance to Hondo’s and some great nightlife. We had a fantastic weekend.

George, that park-like view from the back windows is one of our favorite things about the house too, and it sounds like it delivered exactly the kind of quiet your weekend needed. Hondo's right up the road is hard to beat when you want a night out without going far. Really glad you and your wife got a proper Hill Country getaway out of it. This home has two separate 1 bedroom/1bath units each with full kitchens and hotubs! Perfect place for our party of four to get away! The furnishings were very cute and beds very comfortable. Everything was clean and exactly what we needed to have a mini-vacation. The location was very convenient just 1 block off Main Street. I loved being able to shop, have dinner, visit tasting rooms and returning home all by foot. I’m already planning to rent a unit for my husband and I to have a date weekend!
