We enjoyed your place it was so peaceful the drive to get there was nice and the bed was very comfortable this business was very responsive as they did inform me that they accidentally double. Booked the original home we were supposed to stay at so they sent other options that was unfortunate but we got it straightened out.

Travis, glad the walk to town worked out for your group, that's exactly why folks pick this house. The history is real and we love that you noticed it. The burn ban timing was rotten luck, that fire pit is the best seat on the property once the county lifts it, and we keep the wood stocked and ready for the day it does. Noted on the bathroom count for eight people too, that's fair, and it's useful for us to hear when a group that size books. Come back in the fall when the burn ban is usually off and put that fire pit to work. Our returning guests always get 10% off, so that is yours the next time you book with us. Loved our stay! Perfect for 4 couples! Loved the character of the home, the fire pit, the closeness to town, the photo ops on the property, etc!!!! We even saw some deer! We will definitely stay again!

We had an excellent stay here with a group of four couples for a long weekend stay. The host is only a couple of minutes out of town and very peaceful with beautiful scenery and surroundings. One of us even had a small accident thar caused some damage to the house and the host was super responsive, kind, and helpful in getting things cleaned up and worked out. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Alicia, a long weekend with four couples and still a perfect score tells us everything we need to know about how that trip went. That your group handled an unexpected moment with such grace, and that we could be there quickly to help sort it out together, is exactly how we hope things go when life gets a little unpredictable. The Hill Country scenery from the house is something else, and we are glad it made the backdrop it deserves to. Come back when the wildflowers are out in spring, it is a whole different kind of beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was beautiful, full of charm and rich history, and it was very well maintained. The property felt private and peaceful, which we really appreciated. The location was perfect—just a short drive to downtown and close to everything we needed. The only downside was that the house is located near a main road, so we could hear cars passing by at night. That said, everything else about the stay more than made up for it. Would definitely recommend!

Marinita, the charm and history of that house are two of our favorite things about it, and it means a lot to hear they landed the way we hoped. Road noise near the front of the property is real at night, and we have added heavier window treatments in the bedroom to help buffer it. The peaceful, private feel you described in the back of the property is something people come back for again and again. Next time, the back porch at dusk is worth building your evening around. We took a Couples trip with 4 couples everyone had private bedroom and it had a fully equipped kitchen and bbq pit. Our favorite spot was the front porch. The surrounding areas on the property were pretty and peaceful.
