We stayed there with two other couples and the 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit was perfect. The property is in a great downtown location. It has been restored and decorated beautifully, keeping the character of the building while offering all the modern conveniences. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed. Bill, that rooftop deck doing double duty for morning coffee and evening wine is exactly what we hoped folks would do with it. Getting three couples under one roof without anybody feeling crowded is the whole reason we laid the house out with three full baths, and I'm glad it held up. The restoration was a long haul, so hearing you noticed the original character alongside the modern pieces means a lot. Next time, walk down for live music in the evening and bring a plate back up to the deck. Come see us again. Every guest who comes back to us gets 10% off the return stay, and that includes you. We visited Fredericksburg for my mom’s 75th birthday and we absolutely loved this home. Located right in the middle of Main Street in the old bank building, this beautiful, historic home was an absolute gem! Plenty of space for all 6 of us. We sat outside on the balcony in the mornings and enjoyed coffee, and sat inside at night and played games while still enjoying an amazing view. The only thing I would say is, the stairs are a bit steep, so getting luggage up and down, especially for my 75 year old mom, was a little scary. We were able to meet one of the property owners and he let us know that they are installing an elevator, which will be nice. 10 out of 10!!! Beautiful apartment in the heart of Fredericksburg's shops and restaurants. Extremely well stocked with everything needed for a comfortable 4- or 5-night stay. The apartment is well insulated as we heard little outside noise despite being over busy Main Street. The large rooftop patio area was really fun for relaxing or crowd watching (It might be too hot during the summer, but perfect on a cool spring afternoon). This was my favorite Airbnb we have ever stayed in (and as a family of five, we stay in a lot of Airbnbs)! The location on Main Street is amazing--we walked to so many restaurants, shops, and museums. The decor was luxurious yet so inviting and comfortable. The history of the space was fascinating, and books and old photos helped tell the story. We spent lovely evenings on the deck watching the sunset. We stayed here with my parents so we rented both suites. It was perfect for each family to have their very own space. The Bank on Main was perfect for our trip to Fredericksburg. The location was perfect, the amenities nice and comfortable and the building history was interesting. The entire unit was cozy we really enjoyed it as a home base during our visit. A few places we enjoyed - Java Ranch for coffee and light breakfast, Clear River for lunch, Otto’s for dinner and Martini’s for seafood. Additionally- We had a great time at the Elk Store Winery and Distillery one evening! We will definitely be back and hope to be able to visit the Bank again. Lastly - parking is ambiguous at first, it would be helpful to include a picture before arrival. Exceeded expectations with location and overall beauty/decor of the property. It has only been open as an Airbnb a couple months and everything is still immaculate. The store downstairs is only open 10am-6pm so area was very quiet by the time we got home from dinner. Tons of shopping and restaurants walking distance down Main St. The parking spot in back alley is labeled for the bank, so that was initially confusing but property manager responded immediately to my questions as we arrived. Haley, your friend who has stayed all over Fredericksburg calling this her favorite stop in the whole area, that says everything. The house being just a couple of months old really does show in how the details hold up, and it only gets better from here as the place settles in. That parking spot labeling is something we are getting corrected with clearer signage so the next group rolls in without a second of confusion.
