The house was absolutely perfect. We could walk to downtown New Braunfels which was a block away. We could walk to the river which was also a block away. The house itself was absolutely spotless. Adrienne, wishing you'd stayed longer is about the best thing a host can read. That walk into downtown is exactly why we love this house, and having the rest of the Hill Country an easy drive out from it is the other half. Comfort is what we aim for in that place, so it's good to know it landed. When you do come back for the longer stay, give yourself a slow morning on the porch before you head out, and ask us about the wineries and swimming holes worth the drive. My husband and I had a great stay! The house was comfy and in a perfect location in town. We walked the entire weekend and didn't need our car. Played Pacman in the game room and made some great meals in the kitchen. Kitchen was stocked with every item we needed. Plenty of towels for the pool and we had a great time! Jen, leaving the car parked all weekend and walking everywhere is exactly how that house is meant to be used, so I'm glad you two got to do it. Good to hear the kitchen had what you needed for real cooking, and that the Pacman machine got some play. Your note about shade at the pool was a fair one. We're adding a cantilever umbrella that swings out over the water so you can sit out there through the hot part of the afternoon. Frank, a "great spot" is about the best two words we can get, so thank you for that. Word gets around here that folks come back for the quiet, and it sounds like the house did its job. Next time you're out this way, take an evening at the fire pit after the sun drops behind the hills. That's when the property is at its best, and most guests miss it because they're already inside. Great location. The house is older, built in the 1890s but fully renovated with modern appliances and furniture. Great game room for the kids. The pool was great to jump in after a river float. The house was perfect for our family to end spring break, to pool was so cold but it worked out perfectly for our hot afternoon! Best place to stay
This property is a must. It's in the center of everything. Go out the front door and walk to the river, parks, bars, and restaurants. Its clean and quiet and special bonus is the deer that come every evening in the park across the street. I’m born and raised in New Braunfels, but haven’t been back in a while because I travel for work constantly. This location is fantastic, especially if you’re there for Wassilfeast, wurstfeast, or to enjoy the local bars . The home is spotless and gorgeous, neighbors are quiet, but you can hear music from Lost and found at night (this didn’t bother us because we were there for night life) . I truly have nothing negative to say about the home or location . The only thing I didn’t like was the deposit, refundable or not, I feel like I paid for the rental in full and it was non-refundable so I’m not sure why I had to pay an additional $60ish as a deposit.. if I chose the refundable, then it’d place a 1k hold. This did not impact my rating by any means and I would rent the space again simply for location and cleanliness .Anonymous - Posted: 9/29/2025
Brandi, a born-and-raised New Braunfels local coming home for Wurstfest is just about the best endorsement a place can get. Knowing the area the way you do and still calling the house spotless and the location fantastic means a lot. Lost and Found drifting in at night is honestly part of the Hill Country charm, so it sounds like the timing was perfect for your trip. On the deposit question, that is worth a closer look on our end and we are reviewing how we present those options at booking so the choice is clearer upfront. We LOVED everything about this home! Located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with deer everywhere. The home was clean, cute and fully stocked upon arrival. The kitchen and bathrooms were pristine had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds and the game room and pool were perfect additions for our stay. My husband says this is his favorite Airbnb to date! It was a great place, spacious and private but the charms of a historic house. Renovated nicely. Large space- 2 bedrooms w king beds, living room, dining room, kitchen, game room with additional dining space and beds. Lovely outdoor space with pool, grill and fire pit.
