Our family loved this place! Everyone enjoyed the pool and game room! The beds were all so comfortable and we felt like we had everything we needed! We are already talking about booking this place next summer. We truly loved it! It was in a great location too, very close to downtown

We really enjoyed the house. Great pool area. Plenty of space. I might suggest switching out the shower head in the bathroom upstairs. Otherwise no problems at all. We had a great time!

We rented the property for a family trip to Fredericksburg. Was conveniently located close to all of the shops in Fredericksburg. Pool and hot tub were very nice. The kids loved them. Internet was a little weak Would highly recommend. Tom

Great, cozy house that we had a girls' getaway weekend. The house was cozy and warm, with memories of childhood of my grandmother's house -- I believe they were built close in time. Parking was great out front, and had it not been cold and raining;/windy, we probably would have enjoyed the front porches more. Great weekend and highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay. The pool, hot tub and fire pit were perfect. Not walking distance to down town but we didn't really care. House was absolutely charming and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

We picked the Crockett House for a quick weekend getaway for my 40th Birthday. Booking and gaining access to the property was a breeze and the house was so cute and roomy, it worked perfectly for the six of us! We loved being within walking distance to downtown, but not so close that we had to deal with noise, traffic or general chaos. Coffee and conversation on the upstairs porch, a roomy dining room table for games and snacks, a cozy living room for relaxing and a beautiful yard with a picturesque pool, pomegranate tree, grapes, squash and more- this house had it all and we had a fantastic time! Our only "complaints" lie with the property management company. While the staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly, we found the check-out instructions were a little unclear and not provided up front (they are listed on a framed photo by the front door and not in the information given after booking). It would have been helpful to know some of the additional rules upon booking as well. We also were a little disappointed with the state of the backyard, which is a HUGE feature. The pool wasn't clean and the pool cleaner was clogged with debris, the fire pit and overturned chairs were in the middle of the yard, the table was dirty, there was a broken ceramic lamp with pieces scattered on the bar and ground, and an old gallon of milk was left in the outdoor fridge. Even though a storm had come through the night before, we felt that management could have made some extra effort to clean up. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would absolutely book it again in the future! Thank you for helping make my birthday so special!

My friends and I stayed here this weekend and it was perfect! The location to town was so nice as well. The pool was sparkling clean and the backyard is massive!! The gameroom area is so fun! We will definitely be back!

Me and a few friends took a much-needed girl's weekend getaway from Houston and enjoyed our stay very much! The house would also be great for a large family - lots of room and a beautiful backyard with a pool, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen! Would definitely recommend and return for another visit.

The house is a charming older house located only a short distance from Main St. The pool, hot tub, and yard are amazing, which was the main reason be chose this location. We mostly used the hot tub with adventurous jumps in the pool because it was cold and rainy the whole weekend. So, we didn't use the pool and yard as much as we had hoped, but it was extremely nice, relaxing, and what we had expected. They don't have pool floats, toys, etc. there so you should plan on bringing your own. We only ate breakfasts and simple lunches there so I cannot comment too much on the kitchen. However, if you are planning on cooking meals, the kitchen seemed adequate but could use updating. Check in/out was very easy at the management office off Main St. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend them.

We loved the house, it was large enough for us. We stayed outside a lot of the time on the patio and in the hot tub. It's close to town but not close enough to walk, only a few minute drive.

We had 8 ladies staying here and made use of the pool and the outdoor kitchen. The beds were large & comfortable and since we all had our own schedules we didn't mind sharing 2 bathrooms. We made all our meals in the kitchen and found all the utensils that we needed were provided. There were even a few staples but we brought all of our own as well. The pool was the highlight for our August trip. It was blazing hot outside and we used the pool day and night. It was spotless clean and had plenty of chairs around for lounging. I will definitely book Crockett house again. You'll need a car to get around as it's too far to walk to town but you are a short drive from all of the places that you will want to go. When you visit, be sure to hit the Peach Haus, Alstadt, Baron's Creek, the Christmas Store, and the Kitchen Store.

The Crockett House was absolutely perfect for our July 4 getaway with friends! It was set up and furnished nicely inside and outside. Gausthaus Schmidt was amazing to work with and made the entire rental process easy. We will certainly use them anytime we return to the area and will definitely stay at Crockett House again!
